Spend Thanksgiving morning with your family and Friends

You know it’s Thanksgiving season when your favorite shows begin to debut their Thanksgiving episodes, and there’s nothing that feels better than turning on your TV to watch the Thanksgiving versions of all of these shows. These episodes are always filled with happiness, love, and most of all comedy. Friends, How I Met Your Mother, Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, South Park, and Seinfeld are rated to be the top 5 Thanksgiving episodes.

“All of the Gossip Girl Thanksgiving episodes are the best, I could watch them all year long,” said sophomore Allie Salzman.

This is arguably the best time of year because of all of these amazing episodes, followed by the excitement of the upcoming Holiday season.

Common Thanksgiving favorites are from Friends. There are over ten different episodes, so you’ll never get bored of their Thanksgiving specials.

“All of the Friends Thanksgiving episodes are my favorite, I watch them on repeat,” said sophomore Emma Klein.

In “The One Where Underdog Gets Away”, the cast is locked out of Monica’s apartment with the burning turkey still in the oven. This hilarious Thanksgiving gone wrong is many viewers’ personal favorite. Another episode, “The One With The Football,” is full of bonding as the characters join together to play one big football game. This episode truly brings out Monica’s comical competitiveness. Rachel jokes that she thinks she is good enough to be apart of the NFL, just because she wants to be on television. In my opinion, “The One With All The Thanksgivings” is the best Thanksgiving special. This episode is when the cast each has a flashback of their past Thanksgiving experiences. They reminisce on crazy dinners gone wrong, time spent bonding, and many more hilarious Thanksgivings that they’ve shared. A Thanksgiving would not be complete without a Friends Thanksgiving episode marathon!

Another Thanksgiving classic is “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”. All of the characters are cute and childlike. In this episode, they attempt to throw a Thanksgiving dinner. This episode aired on the CBS network on Nov. 20, 1973, and won an Emmy Award the following year

What would a Thanksgiving be like without watching How I Met Your Mother? The Thanksgiving episodes are when “Slapsgiving” began! The slap bet first began on Thanksgiving between Barney, Ted, and Marshall. The slaps are mostly directed towards Barney. After a long year of waiting, “Slapsgiving 2: Revenge of the Slaps” aired. During this episode, Barney finally receives his fourth slap.

“If you get bored of all the amazing Friends episodes, you should definitely watch the How I Met Your Mother Thanksgiving specials- it’s like Friends, but different” said sophomore Avery Silfin.

Last but not least, if you’re not into comedy… then watch the May’s Annual Thanksgiving Day Parade! This is a fun, live show from New York City full of floats, the Rockettes, famous singers, celebrities, marching bands, characters from new shows, and more! It is different each year and is always exciting to watch when you wake up on Thanksgiving morning!

This Thanksgiving, consider watching one of these fun-filled episodes with your family or friends. Whether it’s Friends, How I Met Your Mother, or Charlie Brown, you will definitely be entertained.
