Schreiber alum Dan Cottitta entered the Axe Apollo Space Academy competition, which will send the two people with the most votes to space. The winners will have the chance to fly 103km up to space with the space tourism company SPACEXC. Cottitta earned his pilot license in high school and graduated as valedictorian of BOCES aviation school. He entered this competition to get closer to achieve his dream of becoming an astronaut.
