Scott Rogowksy has fans hooked on new trivia game, HQ
“Let’s get down to the nitty gritty!” HQ Trivia is an online game run by multiple hosts, the main host being Scott Rogowsky. Thousands of people open the app and play this twelve-question trivia game every day. Along with funny comments and jokes included in the game, the trivia questions get harder and harder after each question. Usually people get the first two or three questions right and then struggle to get others correct. The game takes place at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. on weekdays and at 9 p.m. on weekends.
HQ isn’t just a fun trivia game to play by yourself, as you can also interact with friends while you answer the questions. This game provides a great excuse to hang out with friends and participate in a game that’s as entertaining as it is educational.
“I love playing HQ with my friends. We usually all put different answers to increase our chances of winning. Although we have never won we have come close,” said senior Brianna Alvarez.
HQ tests your ability to answer random questions about anything. If you do win and correctly answer all twelve questions, you receive money, but have to split it with the many other winners. Some people get very small amounts due to the large number of people that win each game, but sometimes, when the questions are harder and fewer people win, larger amounts of money are given out.
“Its funny when I play HQ and see that the prize is so small. There is always so much anticipation for just a couple of dollars,” said senior Kathryn Pizzuti.
Another interesting aspect of HQ is that if you invite someone new to the game and they use your referral code, you can get an extra life. This means that if you get a question wrong, you can have another chance to answer more questions.
Scott Rogowsky has become extremely famous as the host of this online trivia game show. Every HQ fan knows and loves Scott, as he makes the game show fun with his friendly and outgoing personality. He calls players HQties, and throws in many other corny puns and phrases throughout the game.
“Although Scott can get annoying, HQ is never the same without him,” said senior Saige Gitlin.
Besides just playing trivia, there is an online chat where users can post comments. Along with these comments, there are also hashtags that you can use on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. If it is your birthday and you use some of the hashtags, Scott might give you a shout-out on the game in front of a million people.
One of the best parts of HQ is that no matter whether you win or lose, the game is free. Download HQ to test your knowledge; even if you end up losing in the end, the game is still entertaining.
